For You & For Me

Good Sunday,

I hope you are doing well, whoever you are. I'm happy the Lord led me to create this blog a week or two ago. I'm meeting lots of nice people. Some of you I've been praying for.

For one of you, I'm not the only one praying in my neck of the woods.

I thought I'd share this video today. It's beautiful.

Watch it, and think: "For me. This was all for me." What a humbling thought.

  3. I really enjoyed this film; Gibson did some fine work.

The worst moment, for me, was the driving of the nails - did I ever squirm when I saw that (I was sure the camera would cut away but, with good reason, the focus stayed on the pain).

I'm glad they used subtitles too, I can't stand watching historical films that have modern accents (like Alexander having an Irish accent!)

  4. Matt,

Yes! I agree totally. The essence of the brutality of what actually happened was captured, as well as it could have been, I suppose.

And yes! The driving of the nails! Oh, how that makes me cry out to God. It really happened, only worse than that. Wow, God is great.

And yes! The subtitles and the authenticity achieved by using native tongues was fantastic. It made for a very authentic experience. Thought, let's admit...as well as James Caviezel played his role (almost too well, if you ask me. Unbelievable, if you ask me. Almost like nobody had ever thought there was an actor behind the portrayal of Christ in that movie) ... he is of Swiss descent. Anglicized (sp?) as it might be, it was absolutely incredible.
